Fiberglass rods and bars.
Fiberglass bars and rods. Our corrosion-resistant bars have a very long functional service life and are therefore a cost effective alternative to wood, concrete, and steel. Minimal maintenance requirements, even in corrosive and aggressive environments.
Rods and bars in glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) are versatile structural components that, thanks to their low weight, high strength, and electrical insulating properties, are used in a wide range of technical applications.Like the other profiles in our GRP range, the rods are virtually maintenance-free and easy to process without special tools – making them particularly suitable for fast and flexible installation in both industrial and technical environments.Common and potential applications include antennas, sunshades, model building, as well as structural profiles or insulators in applications involving high voltage electricity, for example in power lines and electrical installations
Advantages of glass fiber rods, GRP:
- Corrosion-free
- Easy to machine on site, without welding or other special tools
- UV and chemical resistant
- Electrically insulating, does not conduct current
- High strength
- Long shelf life
