Fiberglass Cap profiles.
Corrosion-resistant and maintenance free cap profiles in fiberglass, primarily used as spacers in the electrical industry. Our corrosion-resistant fiberglass cap profiles have a very long functional service life, making them a cost-effective alternative to wood, concrete, and steel. They require minimal maintenance, even in corrosive and aggressive environments.
Fiberglass reinforced plastic (GRP) cap profiles are a specialized profile with excellent electrical insulating properties, making them particularly suitable for use in the electrical industry. The hat profile is often used as a spacer and insulating component in electrical windings, such as in transformers, motors, and other high-voltage applications.Like all our GRP profiles, the hat profile is virtually maintenance free, lightweight, and can be easily processed without special tools. This simplifies handling and installation, even in tight or complex assembly spaces.
Advantages of GRP hat profiles:
- Corrosion-free
- Easy to process on site, without welding or other special tools
- UV and chemical resistant
- Electrically insulating, does not conduct current
- High strength
- Long shelf life
