Slip protection – a winter guide.
25 November 2024
Anti-slip protection for a safer winter.
The first snowfall of winter came like a bolt from the blue. Just like every year. And every year we are equally surprised that it suddenly becomes slippery outside.
Slippery accidents increase during the winter months.
It’s not hard to figure out that slipping accidents increase significantly during the winter months, and with it fractures. The proportion of people seeking medical care for forearm and upper arm fractures, sprains and concussions is never as high as it is in December through March, and most often it is related to a slip and fall on an icy staircase, slippery hallway, freezing attic or snow-covered patio. Most of the time, it is also avoidable.
Here’s what you can do to reduce slipping accidents.
In our winter guide, you can read about smart products for outdoor staircases, courtyard walkways, attic walkways in housing associations or footbridges in public spaces. We suggest smart and durable products, such as anti-slip stair nosings, fiberglass anti-slip strips and heated melting mats, and how you can easily install them to avoid slipping accidents in the most vulnerable places in both homes and public spaces.
