Party-proofing.

It’s hard to describe Trädgården as just a nightclub. It’s a vibrant gathering place, a bit like a playground for adults. A large outdoor space filled with bars, food, music, and people moving between different levels, terraces, and dance floors. From the grand entrance staircase to the terraces and bars at the far end of the area, there are almost always people on the move, every evening—all summer long.

It’s a magical place. A fun place. A caring place—with owners who have quietly invested in the safety of their visitors.

Yes, now we come to the “boring” part. Safety. But that’s what we do, and someone has to think about it, too! Because when thousands of people share the same wooden surfaces, night after night, rain or shine, safety becomes a natural part of the experience—even if most people never think about it.

From tape to a solution that lasts.

Just like many others, Trädgården had long used traditional anti-slip tape on its wooden stairs and walkways. It did the job—but not for very long. With thousands of guests every week, the tape wore out quickly in all kinds of weather and had to be constantly replaced.

“We’ve always used tape before, but it wears out too fast. So we figured we’d do it right this time.”

And do it right they did.

A major investment.

Instead of patching and repairing, Trädgården invested in a permanent solution. In total, nearly 1,000 meters of anti-slip strips from Safestep were installed.

Visitors are greeted by the strips right at the grand entrance staircase, and they continue throughout the entire area—up stairs, along ramps, between terraces, and all the way to the bars. They’re there, discreetly—but pretty much everywhere. Most guests probably never even notice the strips, and that’s exactly how it’s supposed to be.
