At Linjett Varv in Norrtälje, the docks are a natural part of the business, and when the original wooden structure began to fail, they chose to install large areas of Safesteps Micro Mesh decking —a solution that combines high slip resistance with a long service life in the harsh marine environment.

In coastal environments, high demands are placed on material selection. Saltwater, moisture, oils, and UV radiation quickly degrade many traditional materials. Fiberglass decking is unaffected by rust or rot and requires minimal maintenance compared to, for example, wood or steel. Unlike coarser deck types and mesh sizes, Micro Mesh has a smaller and denser mesh, creating a safe and stable walking surface—while still providing good drainage.
