Safesteps heating mats are connected to a standard grounded 230V electrical outlet. Once plugged in, the mat maintains a temperature that keeps it free from snow and ice at all times – regardless of the outdoor temperature. The mats can be placed on any surface and remain connected throughout the entire winter season.Connect the mats in series.All our heating mats are designed to be connected in series. This means you can connect multiple mats in one continuous line – using a single power cable plugged into one electrical outlet. This applies to all mats, regardless of size. A 27 x 95 cm mat can therefore be connected to a 100 x 150 cm mat – without any problems.
