Norskogsbadet.

Norskogsbadet is a green oasis in the middle of Täby. A place where families with children, young people and adults gather to relax and enjoy life. A place filled with happy, sunny and meaningful memories. From the first days of swimming school, to late summer evenings with friends – and, unfortunately, a lot of falls.

Like many other swimming spots, Norskogsbadet has problems with slipping. This is not surprising, given that a swimming area is defined by three main things: water, stone floors and bare feet – a combination that often leads to both minor and major accidents.

In this particular case, it was also an economic issue. The slippery floor around the three pools was already treated with an epoxy paint, which had some positive effect on the surface. However, after just one season, the treatment had already taken a turn for the worse, and after the third season the floor was as slippery as before. This meant that the treatment had to be repeated at LEAST every three years. The result? Costly.

Redab took action and contacted us for advice. For us, it was obvious which product to use: Protectakote – a one-component polyurethane paint with rubber granules that forms a textured and slip-resistant floor covering. Extremely durable, it is also soft and comfortable to walk on.

Redab didn’t hesitate for a second, and a week later the pool area was treated with a solution that will last well beyond three years. “Walk carefully in the pool area” no one ever said again.
