Copper is an amazing metal – timeless, very durable and above all incredibly beautiful! A living metal, it is affected by weather, wind and external stresses and will change over time – for the better. It requires little maintenance, but adds character and an exclusive feel. Looks great on lighter surfaces – both outdoors and indoors.
Key details.
Contrast markings are an important element in the accessibility of public buildings and premises. They are usually installed on stairs, first and last steps, door sweeps and ramps, and to mark differences in floor levels.
Important to remember: According to the recommendations of the National Board of Housing, Building and Planning, stairs should be provided with contrast markings on the first and last step of each flight of stairs, and the markings should be consistent throughout the building. The contrast dots should be at least Ø 50 mm and placed at a maximum of 20 mm in from the edge, with a maximum gap of 30 mm. The contrast markings should also be installed with a different material and a lightness contrast of at least 0.4 NCS – either lighter or darker than the surroundings. Read more about all the rules and recommendations regarding contrast markings here – or download our guide below under Documents.
