Durable thermoplastic contrast marking for outdoor use.
Safestep HÅGA are contrast markers made of thermoplastic, designed for contrast marking of stairs, ramps and level differences in concrete, stone and asphalt outdoors. The markings are available as ø50 mm dots and lines of 1 m x 50 mm. The product is melted into the substrate using a gas torch and molds to unevenness and surface defects, making this a very grateful product to work with.
Durable contrast markings for stone, concrete and asphalt.
Correctly installed markings, with primer and even burning, withstand snow removal, ice, rain, salt, chemicals and high loads. An excellent option in parks, station buildings, housing associations and other public outdoor areas.
Note! For best results, it is recommended to pre-treat the surface with our 2K primer – see Safestep HÅGA – Primer.
Important to remember: According to the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning’s recommendations, stairs should be provided with contrast markings on the first and last step of each staircase, and the markings should be consistent throughout the building. The contrast dots should be at least Ø 50 mm and placed at a maximum of 20 mm in from the edge, with a maximum gap of 30 mm. The contrast markings should also be installed with a different material and a lightness contrast of at least 0.4 NCS – either lighter or darker than the surroundings. Read more about all the rules and recommendations regarding contrast markings here – or download our guide below under Documents.
